World Athletics i Global Athletics Coaching Academy (GACA) przedstawiają powrót wirtualnego forum Coaching Matters, kwartalnej serii skupiającej się na relacji trener-zawodnik. Seria 2025 rozpocznie się 4 marca dwoma wirtualnymi sesjami – jednym forum dla strefy czasowej wschodniej i drugim dla strefy czasowej zachodniej – z naciskiem na temat „radzenia sobie z sukcesem i porażką”. Trenerzy i eksperci obecni na forum zagłębią się w temat i spróbują odpowiedzieć na pytanie: jak radzimy sobie z tym, co postrzegamy jako nasze sukcesy i porażki w coachingu?
Forum wschodnie poprowadzi Cliff Mallett, do którego dołączy panel ekspertów, w tym Eddie Jones – główny trener narodowej drużyny rugby Japonii, Lisa Alexander – była główna trenerka narodowej drużyny netballu kobiet Australii oraz David Taylor – były prywatny trener gwiazd tenisa, takich jak Ana Ivanović i Elise Mertens.
Richie Mercado poprowadzi rozmowę na forum zachodnim między prelegentami: LaTanya Sheffield – główną trenerką programów lekkoatletycznych mężczyzn i kobiet na Long Beach State University, Laurent Meuwly – szefem sprintów, płotków i sztafet w Holandii oraz głównym trenerem Femke Bol, oraz Clive Brewer – dyrektorem ds. siły i kondycji olimpijskiej na University of Notre Dame.

World Athletics and the Global Athletics Coaching Academy (GACA) present the return of the Coaching Matters virtual forum, a quarterly series that focuses on the coach-athlete relationship.
The 2025 series will kick off on 4 March with two virtual sessions – one forum for the Eastern time zone and another for the Western time zone – with the focus on the topic ‘handling success and failure’. The coaches and experts in attendance will dive deep on the topic and aim to answer the question: how do we handle what we perceive to be our successes and failures in coaching?
The Eastern forum will be hosted by Cliff Mallett, who will be joined by a panel of expert coaches including Eddie Jones – head coach of the Japan national rugby team, Lisa Alexander – former head coach of the Australian national women’s netball team, and David Taylor – former private coach to star tennis players such as Ana Ivanovic and Elise Mertens.
Richie Mercado will facilitate the Western forum conversation between speakers LaTanya Sheffield – head coach for the men’s and women’s track & field programmes at Long Beach State University, Laurent Meuwly – head of sprinting, hurdles and relays in the Netherlands and head coach to Femke Bol, and Clive Brewer – Director of Olympic strength & conditioning at the University of Notre Dame.
During the sessions, each expert will share their insights through presentations, followed by a Q&A with attending guests.
